Hombre's evaluation

Well, Hombre went to meet Kris Benoit of Dakota Dalmatians today to be evaluated for his show potential. Kris liked his spotting, front end, head, ear set, and feet. She says he needs some work on his back end as he tends to be a bit of a stinker when it comes to setting him in "stack" position. He will free stack fairly nicely, though. Kris thinks he has a great personality which is a nice plus. All in all, he did quite well and Kris thinks he definitely has potential. Daddy Shawn & I are both VERY happy.
After the evaluation in Dekalb we made a stop to visit my mom at The Timbers in Shorewood. Hombre was very well behaved in the crowded conditions and loved the attention he got from everyone. One of the gentlemen there said that Hombre was the most gorgeous dalmatian he had ever seen. Hombre is definitely a charmer!
We have 3 more weeks to work until the trip to KY for the DCA Nationals. Crunch time!

Been a while

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything. It's been busy here with the dals. Hombre is now 5 months old. He's being evaluated for his show potential on Saturday by Kris Benoit of Dakota Dalmatians. Hopefully he will do well. Hombre has been entered in the 6-9 month puppy class at the DCA Nationals in Fort Mitchell, KY. He will be handled by his breeder and co-owner Lana Giessinger.
All the dogs have been doing well, happy for the nicer weather. They like to spend time outdoors chasing squirrels and tearing up the yard. The kitchen floor is a constant source of muddy pawprints. I am posting new pics of Hombre along with this post.

Hombre

Shawn & Lakota have gone back home to Peoria. Hombre will stay with me for a while until he is potty trained and has learned his basic commands. He and DASH have become the best of friends. Hombre got his second set of puppy shots January 5th. The little porker weighs 12 lbs. 15 oz.
